Our Mission:
The Office of Student Life (OSL) is responsible for a range of student services,
programs and resources at UCSF.The OSL staff is committed to providing quality
services that appropriately support UCSF student needs and interests in an
efficient, responsive and friendly manner.
Our Programs and Services:
Associated Students, UCSF: Student government for students in the professional schools of Dentistry, Medicine and Pharmacy.
Graduate Students' Association: Student government for students enrolled in the Graduate Division and the School of Nursing.
Registered Campus Organizations: Volunteer organizations at UCSF representing diverse academic, cultural, ethnic, artistic, and community service interests.
Funding for Campus Life: Administration of multiple fund sources dedicated to supporting activities, programs and services sponsored by Registered Campus Organizations.
Student Activity Center: Support and resources for programs and sponsored by the student governments and Registered Campus Organizations. Coordinates the weekly Student Enrichment Series. Promotes student interests in campuswide events.
Student Disability Services: Services and academic accommodations for students with disabilities.
Synapse: The weekly UCSF student newspaper.
Office of Career and Professional Development: To complement career development resources and services offered throughout the UCSF community.
Informal Counseling and Referral: The Director of the Office of Student
Life is available to informally assist UCSF students with resolving administrative
or personal problems.
